Complete Bathroom Remodel
A very small, dated master bathroom was completely remodeled to give a much larger feel using a pedestal style cabinet and the addition of a skylight.
De-construction: while not our finest angled photograph ever, this shows the bathroom after the PVC shower surround was removed to reveal a completely rotten and moldy sub floor.

The bathroom was completely gutted down to the studs, the original shower pan was completely removed, and the sub floor was replaced. Some of the studs were replaced due to water damage, and all insulation was also removed and replaced. |

Once the bathroom was gutted and re-dry walled, a sky light was added to bring more light into this small bathroom, and to lend a larger feel. |
Well into putting things back together, a self-leveling mortar was used to get the floor completely level prior to installing ceramic floor tile. The shower pan was rebuilt from scratch with mortar, pan liner and ceramic tile. An epoxy based grout was used to guard against future water damage problems and to ensure easy maintenance in the shower. |

A clear glass shower door and white glazed tile were used to complete the shower and to reflect light around the small space. |
During the deconstruction of the bathroom, a void was discovered behind the shower. We used this space to create a 4' x 1' x 2' cabinet and nestled an opposing cabinet next to it between the 2' x 6' studs, which made for a nice sized medicine cabinet. The doorway to the bathroom was widened from 26" to 30". |
