Picking Plants for the Bathroom
Try an aspidistra; for low maintenance they can't be beat. In the nice humid environment of the bathroom, Boston ferns would also do well. And the very favorite all-time low-maintenance vine is pothos. Any type of philodendron would thrive in those conditions; Monstera deliciosa are huge, as are seloum, but there are smaller varieties you can choose from.
If you want to try something more interesting, you might try an orchid. They're much easier to grow than people seem to think, and they will benefit from the extra humidity of the bathroom. A bathroom with plenty of light would be the perfect environment for an orchid.
Remember, use unbreakable containers — there are some great self-watering pots are available now, especially for hanging plants. You can dress them up by placing them in baskets if you don't like the look of them.
